Recovery and sleep data disappear.

Sometimes during the day my recovery and sleep data goes missing. It worked earlier in the day. Refreshing does not fix this. Hard closing the app and reopening does fix the issue.
When the data is not showing the detail pages behind the stats are also mostly blank.
The strain is also off when the data is missing. But that could be a linked issue.

Apple Watch has data from sleep, but no recovery or sleep score in app

My health app shows sleep data from last night with HR and respiratory rate, but the data is not showing in Bevel. Bevel is showing other data from the health app, though, and shows it is connected.
The sleep and recovery score briefly showed up this morning and then disappeared.

Hi Yanni, Let me try and help you with this.
Can you confirm if your new Phone is already paired with your Apple Watch?
Can you go Apple Health app -> HRV/RHR -> Show all Data -> Tap on today do you see any new HR samples for today? Can you screenshot the view for me?

Randell
Yanni: I see. Are you using Bevel's default calculation setup?
Can you go to Apple Health app -> HRV -> Show all Data -> Tap on today's data and screenshot a good chunk of HRV samples for me during your sleep period?
Also, while you're at it can you go to Sleep -> Sleep Stages view. screenshot this view for me also?
Y
Yanni
Randell : tried both Apple and yours .

Yanni: Thanks for the screenshot!
When did you turn on AFib History?
Based on your HRV data above, it seems you don't have enough HRV samples during your sleep. By default, Bevel uses these samples to calculate Recovery. Make sure you wear your watch to sleep every day and wear it correctly to ensure it's capturing all the data.
I suspect it might be related to how you wear your watch, as other users without AFIB history can still get enough HRV values during sleep.
Can you try again tonight? For tonight's sleep, please ensure the following:
- Wear your watch correctly and comfortably tight.
- Check your watch's battery and turn off low power saving mode.
- Turn On AFib History (Kindly asking you to double check on this one)
Also, please restore your default calculation settings in Bevel. I've attached a screenshot for your reference.
I'll leave this ticket open and will wait for your update.

Randell perfect. Are there any other important settings that I need to know of that would help make this info as relevant to me as possible ? Thanks
Randell
Yanni: Thanks! Please keep me posted on this.
For the settings, that should be it, assuming that you are using your Apple Watch only to track your sleep then you should be good to go.

Randell thanks for your help !
HVR and RHR stats are back on

Yanni: Thanks for confirming. I will close this ticket now

Hi Ollie Munday, When you go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources -> Sleep. What do you see? can you please send a screenshot and send it here?
Also, can you please go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to Show all data and screenshot the view for me

I’ve tried this and even erase and reconnect my Apple Watch and it’s still not connecting. Is there a way I can read it to the app. It’s showing in health and all bits are connected but it’s not showing on Bevel. I’ve also deleted the bevel app and downloaded again and still not connecting
Randell
Ollie Munday: Are you saying that if you go to Bevel's Sleep Data Sources you don't see your Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the list of sources?
Can you please provide the screenshots that I asked so that I we can see and confirm and be able to narrow down what might be causing this?
Also, have you tried resetting your Permission? Go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Apps -> Bevel. Turn it OFF and ON to reset.

You can see the sleep
Doesn’t have the new Apple Watch on there from today but the active energy does

My phone was new on 20th so that’s where the sleep seems to have stopped
Randell
Ollie Munday: Hi, thanks for the screenshot. it looks like the recently updated Sleep data from your Apple Health was on 20/09/2024 based from your screenshot.
Can you send a screenshot of your Sleep Data today in Apple Health? You can go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to Show all Data. Screenshot this view for me. It should look like the screenshot I attached below
I'd like to check if your Apple Watch Ultra 2 is writing Sleep data or not
O
Ollie Munday
Randell looks like that’s stopped the same day too
Randell
Ollie Munday: I see, do you mind checking the following for me:
- Sleep Schedule on the Apple Health app. Here's how to check or set it up if you haven't. https://support.apple.com/en-ph/guide/iphone/iphaf56dceb4/ios
- Next Go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to Data Sources & Access. Check if your Apple Watch Ultra 2 is listed below on the "Data Sources". See my screenshot for reference.
- Lastly, Can you try to re-pair your Watch and new Phone?

I log my sleep manually every night

I only repaired my phone to my watch yesterday
Randell
Ollie Munday: Looking at your screenshots, it seems like your Apple Watch isn't recognized as a source for writing Sleep Data on your Apple Health app.
Can you please check your Watch App in iPhone -> Sleep. See if this is turned On? I attached my screenshot for reference.
Also, it is best to set up a recurring Sleep Schedule so you don't have to manually log your sleep every night.

Randellit connected last night so something worked. Thanks for your help with this 🙌

Hi Sean Belliveau, Let me try and help you with this. I'd like to confirm a few things, Could you please provide screenshots of the following
- Screenshot of what your Calculations look like in Bevel? Go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation. Screenshot this view for me
- Also, Please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources. Screenshot this view for me.
S
Sean Belliveau
Randell Sure. As a note, this just happened today, no other changes have been made on the phone with the exception of a bluetooth headphone control app being added last night....but as all the other features are working, not sure why HRV would suddenly drop off if that's what interfered.
Randell
Sean Belliveau: I see that you are using Apple Health as your HRV Method, is this your intended setup?
Can you please send a screenshot of your Sleep Data in Bevel and Apple Health for me?
- Go to Bevel -> Sleep -> Primary Sleep. Screenshot this view for me
- Go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to "Show all data" screenshot this view for me.
- And if possible, can you please send a chunk of raw data from your Apple Health HRV Data that is within your Sleep Schedule?
The reason for these screenshots is I'd like to check if your HRV data is within your Sleep Schedule.
S
Sean Belliveau
Randell Yes, it is my intended setup, unless there's a benefit to doing it otherwise. Here are the screenshots.
Grey
Sean Belliveau: I'm jumping in for Randell here. Looking at your screenshots, it seems like no HRV values were recorded last night while you were asleep.
This might be a 1 off thing with the Apple Watch. Did this happen to you again this morning?
S
Sean Belliveau
Grey it did work today yes. Thanks!
Grey
Sean Belliveau: Great. Let me know if you run into any other issues.
