Strain, Recovery, Sleep not updating early morning

I wake up early and like to go to the gym early in the morning, but my Strain, Recovery and Sleep data don’t show up until later in the day, which is a pity as I would like that data before going to the gym to know my strain for the day. Is this time based? Shouldn’t it constantly sync and show up?
You can even see that even though I just woke up from sleep, my energy bank is showing my level from when I went to bed last night. I find that even if I pull down to refresh sync, it doesn’t show my new stats in the morning until a few hours after I’ve gotten up.

Hi Maria Gasan, When this happens, can you please check in Apple Health if your Apple Watch has already written your Sleep stages data in Apple Health app? You can check it by going to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to the bottom, tap “show all data”.
Also, are you using the default Bevel calculationn? Can you please send a screenshot of it? Go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation

Randell hey there!
Thanks for the reply. So the issue isn’t the sleep. It’s that my info of Strain, Recovery and Sleep info isn’t appearing in the morning. If I wake up at 6 or 7am and want to check my strain for the day before the gym. I don’t get to see it. I usually see it around 8-9am. So wanted to know why is there a delay, even when refreshing and checking back often. I tried to see if there is a time setting (like getting a notification everyday at X time), but didn’t see anything. Just wanted to know how to be able to see this info earlier in the day.

Maria Gasan: Hi, thanks for the screenshots and clarification.
Let me walk you through how the app calculates your Recovery Score.
You are missing two key data points in the morning: Recovery Score and Sleep Score. The app calculates Recovery based on your Sleep data, HRV, and RHR (all recorded during your sleep).
That’s why I asked you to check if your Sleep data is recorded in Apple Health as soon as you wake up. The app relies on this data to generate both your Sleep Score and Recovery Score first thing in the morning.
If this happens again, I recommend checking Apple Health to see if your Sleep data has been recorded.
Also, your Strain is already present. Your Strain Score should start at 0-1 the moment you wake up and will continuously rise as you do your routine/workout throughout the day.
And no, the app does not follow a specific timestamp to generate your Recovery and Sleep Score. As long as the data is in Apple Health, it should reflect in Bevel. (This is because you are using the RHR and RHR Bevel Method + Entire Sleep)
If your data is already in Apple Health but not showing in Bevel, it is most likely a bug then we can take a closer look.
PS: Usually, opening the Apple Health app first fixes this "issue" that you are experiencing as long as the data is there already.

Randell ah got you.
Thanks for explaining that.
I’ll try opening my health up first and seeing if by refreshing that first, if then Bevel updates.
Thanks for the super quick help and assistance ^_^*

Maria Gasan: Try to force close Bevel -> Open your Health app and verify if the data is there -> Open Bevel again.
I will leave this ticket under review for now, please keep me posted tomorrow. Thanks!
