More Granular Insights

I'd love to see more granular insights/correlations between activities and sleep/recovery. As an example, what if instead/in addition to it showing that Mindfulness increased Sleep by 5%, it could say "On days that you've logged a Mindfulness Session, your Deep Sleep improved by 5%" perhaps with a graph of your daily deep sleep and it highlighting the days when you logged a Mindfulness session.
That's just an example, but the need is that there are certain metrics that I want to improve (HRV, Deep Sleep, etc.), and it would be more helpful if insights could tell me how my actions contribute to those metrics.

Deeper correlation between habits and sleep

Pedro
I’ve been using your app for some time now, and I truly appreciate the insights it provides into my habits and sleep patterns. However, I would like to suggest a feature that could enhance the experience and make it even more valuable for users like me.
It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to categorize habits into specific groups, such as impulsive behavior, nutrition, and self-care. This would allow users to gain deeper insights into the different aspects of their lifestyle and how they might be affecting sleep or other variables.
Additionally, it would be great if the app allowed users to compare graphs of different habits with each other. For example, I would love to be able to compare the frequency of screen usage at night, sugar consumption, and frequency of masturbation to see how these habits correlate with sleep quality and also see how a lack of sleep affect behavior as impulsive behaviors This could provide a much more nuanced understanding of how various habits interact with one another and impact overall well-being.
By adding these features, users would not only be able to see the direct correlation between habits and sleep but also analyze specific behaviors in more detail, which would be incredibly valuable for making more informed lifestyle changes.

Additional correlations for health insights beyond recovery and sleep

Given how much is being captured through the app would be super cool to see how journal factors also influence things like daily mood, or even act as triggers for less helpful factors such as alcohol consumption etc.

Correlate Symptoms with Health Data
O
Ollie
It would be great if Bevel could analyze manually logged symptoms (like skipped heartbeats, headaches, or heartburn) alongside other Apple Health data, such as exercise, heart rate, HRV, and nutrition.
For example:
• Do skipped beats happen more often after intense workouts or on rest days?
• Does heartburn correlate with specific foods or meal timing?
• Are certain symptoms more likely when HRV is lower or after poor sleep?
Being able to see patterns between symptoms and various health factors would provide valuable insights and help users identify potential triggers.

Categories in journal

It would be nice if you could change the order in the journal itself or divide it into categories such as food/eating behavior, activities or health.
It makes sense for everything to be in alphabetical order, but I would find it more practical if I could go directly to a category after searching for magnesium, for example. Pinning it at the top is currently a good option, but it is more convenient if only a few are displayed there - the "most important" ones (for me), so to speak.

Thank you for the feedback, Koan, and appreciate your ongoing use of the app! This is a good idea, we can add it to the roadmap.

Derive mood insights from logs

sal james
Just downloaded the app today, and it's genuinely great 💛
I noticed that mood seems to be an "input" into insights, i.e. a bad mood might lead to poorer sleep.
It would be great if we could see what activities led to better or worse moods. e.g.:
Cold showers improved daily mood
Caffeine improved daily mood
Too much screen time worsened daily mood
Because for me, not only do I want to improve my sleep, but also my day-to-day mood 🙂 Manual logging / analysis of this has always been nearly impossible, due to the sheer volume / noisiness of what goes on everyday, so it would be great to glean insights from the logs I'm putting in the app.

Thanks for the suggestion Joshua Blake. We have plans to add something like this in Journal V2
