Extending Apple Shortcuts Functionality

I like that actions such as “Open Describe” exist in Apple Shortcuts. It would be nice to have these actions extended to allow for some text to be added as a parameter to this action, which will then be passed into the app.
Example for “Open Describe”: Transcribe Audio > Open Describe (with transcribed audio as input). This way, it’s faster for me to log food with just my voice.

Inaccurate entry of food

I would prefer to simply speak into the microphone what I have eaten (including restaurants, brands, quantities, etc.). This already works quite well with Bevel text input and the iPhone microphone. However, the assigned nutritional values are not accurate at all. They are far from reality. I have the feeling that certain food databases are being searched and an attempt is being made to assign values. But often the results are way off. When I describe the food in detail in ChatGPT, I get really good results. Is it possible to calculate nutritional values directly via AI, without the intermediate step of using food databases?

Add food with Siri

With the Siri option, you can add meals quickly, without having to access the application directly. In this way, it would be much more versatile for the user to be able to complete their meals quickly.
“Hey Siri” “add a plate of lentils, two glasses of water and a banana to my food.” For example.
That would be great. thanks
I have some other extra options. Later I'll put them on

Thanks for the suggestion Pablo. We can add this to the roadmap!

Voice to text Input for nutrition
Eric Singhartinger
I would like to tell the app in words what I just ate. Text input is cumbersome and sometimes you forget to take a photo before you ate it so you have to describe it.
