Perceived Effort not showing for some workouts

When I go into the details of some activities, there is no Perceived Effort. I think I tracked down it happens when I use the value given by Apple. If I edit it in Fitness and click Update w/o changing the value, then it works in Bevel.
HealthFit shows the PE even when I haven't updated it, so it appears the value is there.

Hi Mike Suiter, can you give a step by step guide on how to reproduce this bug?
When you first record the exercise, how are you setting the effort value? Is it through a specific workout app or through Fitness or through Apple Health?

Hi Grey - here are the steps to reproduce.
- Record a workout using the native Workouts app.
- When done, DON'T click or change the calculated PE.
- Open the activity in Bevel and there won't be a PE. If I open in HealthFit the PE is there.
- On the phone open the workout in Fitness, click the PE, and either leave as-is or change, and click Update.
- The PE will now show in Bevel.

Mike Suiter: Thanks. We've found the issue and are currently working on a fix.

I don't have a screenshot of what the activity looked like before Bevel imported the PE I entered into Apple Fitness — but the Bevel page of the exercise did not have a place for PE or a way to enter PE into Bevel, as far as I could see.

Joshua: Perceived Effort should show up in the activity detail screen like below. If you record it with another app and the Perceived Effort is there, it should show up.
However, if you recorded the workout with a different app and did not add a Perceived Effort score, you will not be able to do so in Bevel. Apple does not allow other 3rd party apps to overwrite data written by other apps.

Grey,
Got it, thanks. In the release notes this is not obvious. It makes it seem like you can add a "perceived effort" to any activity, but this is only with Bevel's strength builder, right? See screenshot.
Grey
Joshua: That's correct. Only Strength Builder can you edit Perceived Effort since it's written by Bevel.
I'll close this out. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Joshua
I’m happy you’ve included this feature, btw. It’s a missing piece for those who want to use RPE but don’t use the strength builder, like me (I use FitBod).

Hi Joshua, can you share screenshots of what the workout looks like in Apple Fitness and in Bevel?
