Add single-sided vs dual-sided plate loading for plate-loaded machines

Currently, I have to recreate certain machine exercises and set the equipment type to Barbell just so the plate calculator works correctly for exercises where plates are loaded on both sides. This works as a workaround, but it makes the exercise setup less accurate because the exercise is not actually a barbell movement.
A common example would be plate-loaded machines like Hammer Strength machines, plate-loaded rows, presses, leg press, etc. These are not barbell exercises, but they still need the same kind of “plates per side” calculation.
It would be helpful if each exercise could have a plate-loading option, for example:
No plate calculator
Single-sided plate loading
Dual-sided plate loading
Barbell
Custom base weight / machine starting weight
The important part is that the plate calculator should not depend on setting the exercise to Barbell. It should be possible to keep the exercise as a machine exercise while still telling Bevel whether the plates are loaded on one side or both sides.

This is now available in 3.1.0! The updated Plate Calculator in Strength Builder now supports single-sided vs dual-sided plate loading, so it calculates the correct plate combination for your bar or plate-loaded machine.

Many machines are iso-lateral in the sense that you load weight per side which is individually moved. Most weight trackers show the weight as weight-per-side and not toal weight. It would be useful to have a slider for machines to indicate this, and therefore know whether its total weight or not.

Plate calculator adjustment

The plate calculator should assume that I am also adding the same plates to the other side of the bar meaning if I’m adding two 45 plates and the image it’s only showing the right side if the bar, in total there should be 180 because I am also adding two more 45 to the other side of the bar, right not the image looks like I am adding all of the plates to the right side of the bar

Hi Midiel Henriquez The plate calculator automatically adds the weight on both sides. If that’s not what you’re seeing, please send a video so I can better assist you.
