Biology Tab Comparison Graphs - Reading vs. Trend Display
planned (tbd)

I've noticed that the values displayed on the Biology comparison charts in the Bevel app don't reflect the actual daily readings of Resting Heart Rate (RHR) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV). It seems like Bevel is showing trend lines instead of the raw daily data.
While I understand the importance of tracking trends over time, I find that this approach impacts the visibility of individual events. For instance, when I try to evaluate how specific factors like alcohol consumption affect my next-day HRV and RHR, it becomes harder to identify those individual data points on the trend lines.
Wouldn't it make more sense to show both the actual readings and the trend line on the same graph? This way, users can clearly see the impact of daily events while still being able to track long-term trends.

Hi Team,
It’s been a while since the original request, but I’m glad you’ve circled back. Let me try to reiterate.
I’m a big fan of the journal concept implemented in Bevel—ticking journal entries to see how they contribute to the major metrics: Recovery and Sleep Quality (e.g., “Nasal strip improves my sleep quality by 12%”).
What I’m looking forward to is the possibility of looking one (or two) levels deeper:
1st level: A comparison of charts representing Sleep and Recovery within the timeline alongside Journal entries. (You already have this implemented for “Weight” on the “Biology” tab—both “Weight” and “Weight trend” lines, as well as a bar chart for the “Compare to” parameter below. The same could be applied to Sleep and Recovery metrics). I was thinking that if clicking the tiles representing Impact % led to such a comparison chart, it would be great.
2nd level: A comparison of charts representing HRV and RHR daily average measurements (not Trends) with Journal entries. (Same here—it’s already there for “Weight.” You could simply include a line chart representing raw HRV and RHR measurements in addition to the trend lines, and that’s it).
Imagine how different this graph would look for HRV, RHR, as well as Recovery and Sleep for powerful contributors—which is not visible now due to trend smoothing.

Stress Monitor HRV

I love using this app, feel like everything in one. However stress monitor, show %, got low I thought it very good. But opposite. Wish there have options to show HRV, I would rather see HRV number than % everyday use.

Hi Denis E., thank you for the feedback! Are you asking to see your raw HRV and HR data throughout the day? The trends page is meant to show high level trends over time, but we can add more granularity. We are working on improvements to these charts soon :)

Are you asking for a chart that shows HRV throughout the day?

Grey yes show more details on chart all day based on HRV number
