Create own Food

To be able to create "own food" (just like in YAZIO) when there is no available Food in the database.
You give it a Name, Producer, Category and fill in the Nutrition Label on the Food/Product (kcal/carbs/fat/protein per 100g and maybe also stuff like Vitamins and Salt et.
Those created foods can be private only or shared with others public

Log custom food items rather than recipe

Andrea Stephenson
I do a lot of home cooking and for example have made carrot cake energy balls. I’d like to add 1 of these to my database with its macros rather than have to add an entire recipe then break it down into 12 servings. The recipe book I follow already has the finished macros and calories per ball so I just want to be able to add that

Food database Being able to create products yourself
Andreas Friedrich
Unfortunately, this app hardly finds any protein products amino acids, etc. It would be great if you could create them yourself, so with Yazio that is possible and also makes sense. It doesn't help if I can't log protein, e.g. vitamin (Patrick Heizmann) Is not in it Yazio himself buttermilk can be found what is new right now. So it would be great if you could put it on yourself. If it is already possible and I just don't know how much I would be happy to receive any kind of help and information. thanks

ABILITY TO ADD CUSTOM ITEMS

Tom lockyear
So you have add recipe , but its so clunky , if you look at MFP , there process is intuitive, and flows - rather than having to use your search function for each item on a products ingredient's list , you should be able to just add using the manufacturer's nutrition table

This is a must have to be able to add unrecognized foods

Add Custom Calorie Amount

There should be a way just input a custom number of calories. This is especially useful for going out for food when the only information accessible is the calorie count - and situations where you may make replacements to food options where manually entering the calories is easier.

Nutrition: Customizing Food Nutritional Values
Chc Liu
I hope there could be an option to manually customize the nutritional values of foods, such as calories, protein, fat, etc. Since I live in Taiwan, many food barcodes cannot be recognized by the app. Allowing users to define the nutritional content of foods would be a fantastic feature. Currently, I rely on the FatSecret app to track my food (as it can recognize many food barcodes) and then sync the nutritional data to Bevel via Apple Health.

This is an ENORMOUS oversight that's making their company lose an incredible amount of money. It's like selling a top of the line car but forgetting to put the steering wheel in, and no one noticing there's no steering wheel until the car gets delivered to the buyer. It's so bad it's funny. Hope it gets added soon, might consider the app then, I like it overall.

The ability to create or register new custom foods (not recipes).
Hernán Salgado
It would be ideal if users were allowed to create new foods, as there are many foods from different countries that are not in the current database.
