To be able to create "own food" (just like in YAZIO) when there is no available Food in the database.
You give it a Name, Producer, Category and fill in the Nutrition Label on the Food/Product (kcal/carbs/fat/protein per 100g and maybe also stuff like Vitamins and Salt et.
Those created foods can be private only or shared with others public

Adding New Foods & Barcodes

Since I live in Portugal, it would be incredibly useful to add local foods and barcodes that aren’t already in the database.

Would LOVE this! Actually just came here to make this request. I make my own ‘recipes’ with fresh ingredients… that don’t have barcodes and have worked out the numbers for the meal myself. I eat the same meal every day. So this would be a much needed feature.

Several times I’ve scanned a barcode that Bevel doesn’t recognise. Bevel can pull through the calorie data from Apple Health if I log the food in another app that does recognise it, but I lose the macro data and nutrition score. Please add a way to manually add non-recognised foods and give Bevel the correct portions/macro info.

Needs to be far more accurate to shopping items - barcode scan works infrequently and can sometimes be the wrong item. Also it would be helpful at this stage and in future to allow item creation to abet this issue.

FitBee app has done this so much better it’s not even funny

This is very, VERY much needed. I don't understand how this wasn't available right at the launch of the nutrition feature. It's such a huge oversight.
I've been using a different app that's similar to Bevel, but decided to resubscribe to Bevel for a month to try out this nutrition stuff. However, I determined it to be useless as soon as I found out I couldn't add foods that aren't in the database yet, so I cancelled my subscription again.
