Drill in on macros & micros

I love seeing the macro breakdown in nutrition but it’s not super clear to me what things I ate contributing to each of them without going through each food input and add them up. Would be great if we could click into the “carbs” for example and it would list everything we ate that had carbs and their amount.

Fiber tracking / MFP integration

Hi! I switched to tracking my food in the bevel app, despite using MyFitnessPal for years with hundreds of saved recipes and meals. It would be amazing for those of us with that massive backlog to be able to have MFP and Bevel linked or at least read nutrients etc from Apple health.
Also it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to see all micronutrients for the day outside of the journal. And it doesn’t track fiber. I really like the nutrition score but until that’s fixed, I think I have to go back to using MFP. Other than that, I’m loving Bevel!

Hi Laura Mackie, this will be part of our next Nutrition update :) Stay tuned!

Amanda amazing, thank you! This is such a great app, you guys are the best!

It looks like I found a workaround where I can pin fiber in apple health, as Bevel does write fiber, just doesn’t show it in the app. At least not that I’ve found lol. Thanks for your help and the amazing app!

Rest of the USDA food database data

Peter Csizmadia
Since you have imported the food database from the publicly available USDA food database, will you also add the rest of the nutrition info available there? Vitamins, amino acids etc?
Amanda
Hi Peter Csizmadia, yes this is the plan :)

Improve today’s foods UI at homepage

The dotted matrix of carbs, proteins and fats is not a good choice because it seems you need to fill all the dots. Using the app, it seems that the reality of the data shown is a percentage of all the food eaten. This makes the dotted matrix bad, a person can only fill all the dots if he or she eats only carbs, only proteins or only fats for the whole day! So it would be better to show a single bar with 3 colours (one for each item) each properly sized for its meaning and percentage (like the macro balance graph). Or, even better, meet the UI, but for other purpose: a goal of carbs, proteins and fats ingestion for the day. This would be super useful.

See the macros of the food I’m logging

It would be great to see a cumulative impact of the food that I’m logging as I’m logging. Right now, I don’t know if the three items I’ve added altogether have how much protein, carbs, fat? It would be good to have this info on the log screen before hitting Add.
