Add supplements via scan bar code and evaluation

It would be helpful if you could also scan supplements to include them in the diet plan and for a holistic view. Also to add effects and recommendations, when taking or even excessive dosages, which differ from the daily requirement recommendations. Currently, these products are not recognized by a bag and the entry must be stored using the time-consuming fields with the correct manufacturer information.
Hope I haven't missed it so far.

Add Nutrition Details manually
Sulr2
It would be great if one could add a product manually, because sometimes the photo import doesn’t work out.
One could enter all the nutrition details yourself ( or have a specific area where one uploads an image of the nutritional information and the ingredients) in order to have the right balance.

Wouldn't it be easiest if you could take a photo of the nutritional value label and then create your food? This is standardized and should be easy to read.

“Capture” functionality in food logging completely ignores photo contents
Robert Sargant
I used the capture tool to add a nutrition label from the Starbucks app to my Food Log. It’s completely ignored all the numerical values and just invented its own numerical values which are way out from the actual numbers, and I don’t see a way to enter all these macros individually

Hi Robert Sargant, This is not a bug, it is a feature that is not out yet. We are currently working on this feature where you are able to scan the label of the food and create your own entry.
Let me merge this ticket for you.

Easier way of adding food
E
Emin Emini
I struggled 30min to add a simple Turmeric + Ginger gummies. It always did wrong. I tried describing it, taking picture, or scan it. None of that worked.
It was 4 carbs and 15 calories per serving.
It would sometimes read it as 1000 calories sometimes 36 carbs, but always complete mismatch.
Scan database is small + logging it manually was nightmare 😵💫
Please improve it.

Don’t know if it’s been said already, but just want to reiterate something I’ve said on the Reddit thread. I’d love it if besides all the food logging tools that we have now in the app(AI, bar code scanner, food database) we would also have a very simple, very manual way of just adding food into the app. This is the one thing that’s missing now from the app and there are many occasions where you just need to add something manually, all the proteins, carbs, fats, everything manually. I like the current tools but sometimes I wish I’d have something more precise to log food, and sometimes the manual way is the most precise way of logging foods and tracking calories.

Amanda thanks! Amazing!

Would also be nice to adjust nutritional facts. Like when I add my magnesium supplement by the brand name, it doesn’t show that I’ve actually taken any magnesium.

Auto add caffeine from energy drinks

Would like to be able to add caffeine amounts to energy drinks instead of having to add it separately.

Yes please! This would make things a lot easier to track (and more accurate!)
