Flexible Calorie Goal
planned (tbd)

The calorie goal should be able to track your calories burned, so you eat more on active days. There could be a plus/minus to target a surplus or deficit as well. I use the net energy to make sure I'm maintaining weight, but that has a broad daily range while the goal remains fixed currently.

Feature request: Adaptive calorie and goal engine
Bevel already tracks health data, but it would be much more useful if it could automatically adjust nutrition and goal targets based on my real results the way MacroFactor adjusts calories from weight trends and adherence. I do not want to manually guess my calories, constantly recalculate goals, or rely on generic advice. I want Bevel to act like a living system that updates my targets based on what my body is actually doing.
For example, it could automatically adjust daily calorie targets, protein goals, and maybe even training or recovery targets using inputs like scale weight trends, activity, workouts, sleep, recovery, and consistency. If I am losing weight too fast, it should raise calories. If progress is stalled, it should lower them. If I am under-recovering or overtraining, it should adjust expectations instead of pretending I am a robot with perfect discipline.
What would make this stand out is that it would not just tell me what happened. It would close the loop and update my plan for me. That is the difference between a tracker and something genuinely useful.
Right now most apps observe. This would adapt.

Nutrition objective for different days
J
Jonas Benneddeb
Since training days and rest days, we don't look at the same nutrients, for example more carbohydrates during training, it would be nice to be able to customize goals per day, for example, I choose my proteins, carbohydrates, and fats to make 2500kcal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and on the weekend I choose others, for example 2000kcal, with a weekly caloric objective, to have a calorie ceiling for dry, but also know if you have margin on what you can eat.

This is something that is really needed. In reality most people who care about tracking their calorie intake won't aim to consume the same amount every day. It would be great to be able to have the ability have different pre-set goals, which include calories and macros, which can then flexibly be assigned to different days of the week. This should also be able to differ week on week, so it shouldn't be fixed to recurring week on week. Having the ability to also integrate this with the net-energy metric would also take this to another level, so when energy expenditure increases, the daily pre-set goal also changes, but but in line with the original goal ensuring that the macros are proportionally the same as before. I guess this might be presented in a way that assists users in achieving a calorie deficit or surplus goal.

Different calorie goals for different days for calorie cycling

Would be nice to be able to set weekends higher and weekdays lower or something. Would be cool to see a feature that also balances your calories out for the rest of the week if you go over for a day, so you still hit your caloric goal for the week

Allow Zig zag dieting

I am currently implementing zig-zag dieting where certain days normally twice a week my calories increase by a small amount, but I have to manually go set new nutrient goals. It would be nice if the app could switch these amount automatically. I also noticed because I was setting new nutrition goals almost twice a week for the zig-zag dieting I ended up with multiple "current" goals which resulted in the wrong total count of calories displaying in my nutrition dashboard.

I wish I could decide my daily calorie goal regardless of my sports activity. If I go for a run one day and consume 400 kcal these will be added to those of my daily goal
