Garmin Connect - Strength Training integration

Hello team,
I discovered Bevel a few months ago and really got into it when you integrated with the Garmin Connect API. That's a really great job, and your app deserves to be known by more people!
So far, the Garmin Connect integration is much more reliable than Garmin > Apple Health > Bevel integration, congrats 👏
I think there can be room for improvement regarding the synchronisation of Strength workouts:
* if I use the Bevel app with my phone only, I do not have the cardio from my Garmin watch, and I lose all the benefits of the cardio-related feature.
* but if I log a strength workout from my Garmin watch, I do not have any information about the sets, even if I follow the workout I configured on Garmin Connect
I know I can record the workout from the Garmin watch and then add the workout plan later by describing it on Bevel or importing a screenshot, but I can’t imagine anyone actually bothering to do it. It is really frustrating.
Hence, two suggestions:
👉 retrieve the details of the sets (reps, weight, ...) directly from the Garmin Connect API (I assume this is available as I can see them logged in the .fit file)
👉 export the Bevel routine to Garmin Connect (directly or via a .fit file) because the Garmin Connect builder is s***ty as fuck !!
That way, I can benefit from the Bevel workout builder (awesome), run it directly on my Garmin device, and synchronize everything all at once.
Thanks for considering it!

Use garmin or other sensors during training

I know that in the Strava app, you can start a workout and select a sensor to measure heart rate and other metrics. I would love to use bevel for training. But without a pulse, it's not very useful. Please add the ability to use the Garmin watch as a measuring sensor during bevel training

YES PLEASE!! Also I usually log my strength training bit by bit so it is very detailed on how many KG’s I lifted and which moves I did (chest press, leg press, squat, crunch etc.) but unfortunately my Bevel fitness tab is completely empty right now because it takes a lot of my productive hours to fill stuff like this.

Garmin weight training reps directly in Bevel

I would like a feature where Bevel directly reads the number of repetitions and weights from my strength training, which I record on my Garmin.

Upload or copy workouts and also to the Apple Watch

Be able to upload training or copy to the Garmin Watch, just like the Apple Watch.
This is how the app can recognize it, so much effort, repetitions, sets and weights.
And don't do it just from the iPhone or do it alone with the Garmin and then transfer exercises to exercises to the app, so that it recognizes everything.

Hevy is my strength training app. Like others I tried creating all of my program templates in Bevel and using it to log my workout while simultaneously starting an open strength session on my Garmin. This method created duplicate workouts: Bevel entry with my workout log but no hr data from my Garmin, and a Garmin strength activity with no exercise log
Seems the only way to meld the two together is to log on Hevy and copy and paste the template to the Garmin workout that appears in Bevel. Frustrating thing is my Hevy notes don't make it into Bevel and that data isn't tracked
I have faith a solution is on the horizon. I'd like for Bevel to replace Hevy and Hybrd

Automatic HR track during workouts

I use bevel for my strength workouts, but it doesn’t track my heart rate from my Garmin while I’m doing the workouts. Would be valuable info to include to get a full picture. At the moment it only takes data from my phone.

The same way it's fine with an Apple Watch. Workouts can be sent to the watch and tracked from there

I use a non-touchscreen Garmin device.
I use bevel to log my sets and reps for workouts.
When I log sets in Bevel, the app doesn’t automatically pull the live Garmin heart rate for that session. However, if I use Garmin Connect as the data source for workouts instead, I can get heart rate data, but it doesn’t include any muscle group or progression metrics in activity.
if I track my workout on the watch while logging weights in Bevel, and I keep both data sources active, it creates duplicate workouts and doubles the Strain score.
It would be great if Bevel could automatically merge Garmin heart rate into a Bevel-logged session based on the timestamp. Alternatively, Bevel could allow me to set a priority for data sources, so that sets are taken from Bevel and heart rate from the Garmin.
