Add carbs effect time of carbs on glucose like the diabetic “Loop” app and and automatic calculation feature of this by the protein in the fats of meals.

Glucose impact estimate

I really like how Bevel correlates food with the glucose impact. What would be great is to have the score broken down for a meal to identify which items have the most impact. For example, if I eat foods that don’t really affect my blood sugar but also eat something that does, that item should be identified independently (over time) based on the variations. For example, if I eat a steak and it does not really increase blood sugar but then at other times I eat a steak and a potato , it does, then there should be some relation (AI maybe?) to notice that type of impact. This would help refine what is good and bad and help make better choices vs weighing the whole meal. This could even be done across the entire dataset to show how a specific food has impacted others. I have been using this for the past month and really like how it is working and look forward to future updates.

Glucose impact score mixed with exercise

Intense workouts in the 2-hour window after logging food can alter glucose impact scores since glucose tends to rise during intense exercise like running. I understand this is difficult to remedy since it’s not really clear what caused glucose spikes (the food or the exercise, or both). Perhaps an acknowledgment in the glucose impact report that the exercise could be affecting the score would be helpful.

Improve Glucose Algorithm Score

I’ve found that the glucose impact score for each meal isn’t very accurate and is highly influenced by other meals or exercise during the 2 hour period being evaluated. For example if chips scored a 20 and significantly impacted my blood glucose and 30 min later I ate a salad then the salad is scored poorly at 36 despite it not being the source of the glucose spike or significantly impacting my blood glucose. This could really influence behavior (avoiding said salad due to erroneous low score).

Thanks for pointing this out, Kay. We are making improvements to the nutrition score which will take this into account.

Also would be helpful to be able to manually log stress or mood and see it appear on the glucose graph as when nervous I’ve noticed my glucose increase sometimes by even 30 points and also a meditation bringing my glucose down.

Show CGM glucose graph during a workout (activity)

A good and interesting addition would be to see the blood glucose trend as a graph during a workout ( similar to heart rate monitoring).

Josh Cleland Chris Astall great suggestions. We can add this to the roadmap.
