Insights - Auto Trackers
planned (tbd)
Tomek Gniewko Bielak
Would be cool to have a few more auto options on insights:
sleep time impact on recovery
consistent bed time impact on recovery
sleep performance effect on recovery
early workout effect on recovery and sleep
late workout effects on recovery and sleep
strain effect on recovery and sleep
Stress effect on recovery and sleep
And maybe if we really wanted to advance it add two tabs energy and stress - where you could check what impacts those

Add Activities in Recovery and Sleep Insights
Jason Davis
I feel like activities themselves may have certain effects on recovery and sleep scores. Like yoga might increase recovery score due to its focus on mindfulness and breathing, and outdoor cardio activities may have a positive effect on Sleep. I know there are some auto-tracked features like 10k steps in a day, zone 2 time, or overreaching target strain, but if certain activities seem to coincide with increased Recovery/Sleep scores that would be nice to see reflected in Insights.

Add calorie & macro tracking in Journal

I find the journaling feature very useful and would love to see it integrated with food calorie and macro tracking. This integration would enhance my ability to monitor my diet alongside my exercise and sleep habits.

Add glucose tracking and fasting to Journal

It would be beneficial if the journaling feature could also integrate with glucose tracking and fasting. This would provide a more comprehensive view of my health metrics, allowing me to better manage my overall wellness.

As a user, I want to personalise the automatic tags so that I can have more precise insights
Alberto Cerrone
At the moment we have automatic tags like “10000+ steps”, “20+ mins of cardio”, “20+ mins of strength” with these specific thresholds.
Would be good to allow the user to have a more “granular” control.
For example I could have multiple automatic tags for cardio:
- “20+ mins of cardio”
- “40+ mins of cardio”
- “60+ mins of cardio”
- “80+ mins of cardio”
And these could lead to different Recovery and Sleep insights (maybe my peak point for recovery is around 40+ but above 60+ my recovery decreases).
Another option could be to have by default these tags generated by the app, without the need for the user to personalise it.
This could lead to a greater understanding of the body response to certain events

More automatic journal entries from Apple Health

It would be helpful to be able to have the automatically tracked data for alcohol consumption, dietary sugar, carbs, protein, dietary energy, etc. made available in the journal to find out their impact on sleep and recovery.

Add bedtime automatically to the Journal
a
azrtvt
Currently having trouble having restful and truly restful nights, I wondered if my bedtime had a small/great influence on the quality of my night (beyond the amount of sleep).
So I was wondering if I had an optimal bedtime that would allow me to sleep better and maximise my deep sleep.
I thought of two ways to implement this feature:
- Put in the Sleep tab the optimal bedtime, that is, a time interval (for example, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.) for which we usually have the best Sleep or Recovery score.
- OR add in the Journal automatically "Bedtime before 10pm", "Bedtime before 11pm" etc. to get insights and find out if it influences Sleep or Recovery.

Journal Insights - workout/stress/energy
Tomek Gniewko Bielak
Do you think it would be a good idea to have insights into each one of the main health metrics on the main screen.
We have
- recovery
- sleep
We could add:
- strain
- energy
- stress
Strain - My reasoning behind it is it could help comparing how I.e different supplements affect your strain. Caffeine might be a classic one despite poor sleep and recovery it might allow you to get a good workout in, but then you might get worse sleep, there are also other things which will effect strain I.e. hydration, creatine, low stress might impact strain.
Energy - having a workout at a particular time of the day might have a better impact on energy? Or having a light workout might boost energy?
Stress - this one I seen mentioned on here before, poor sleep might have an effect on stress or high caffeine etc

With its latest update, Eclipse Yourself displays the functionality I suggested for bedtime. I've included a screenshot to better illustrate the suggestion.

Automatic weather journal entry
V
Vincent
It would be nice if there was an automatic journal entry for the outside temperature (at night). I don’t have air conditioning and on really hot days my sleep is usually much worse. Would be interesting to see whether this is actually true and how strong the effect is.
