Feature Request: System-Level Schedule Integration (EventKit / Apple Reminders Sync)
Problem Statement:
There is a significant delta between “planning” an activity in Bevel and the “execution” phase (getting out the door). While internal app notifications are useful, they lack the persistence and “hard alert” capability of native iOS Alarms or the Apple Reminders “Time-Sensitive” framework. For users managing executive function challenges or “restart friction,” a dismissible notification is often insufficient to trigger a transition into a workout or habit.
Proposed Solution:
Implement a sync layer that pushes Bevel Schedule occurrences to the iOS ecosystem via the EventKit framework.
Functional Requirements:
- Dedicated Bevel Calendar: Create a one-way sync (Bevel -> iOS) that populates a dedicated “Bevel” calendar. This would allow users to assign specific “Focus” modes or custom alert sounds (alarms) to their training blocks.
- Time-Sensitive Reminders: Option to sync “Habits” (e.g., Vitamin Stack, Post-Run Reset) to Apple Reminders as time-sensitive tasks.
- Dynamic Updates: If a workout is rescheduled within Bevel (e.g., moving a run to avoid a heat spike), the calendar entry should update accordingly to maintain a single source of truth.
User Impact & Rationale:
• Friction Reduction: Moves the “nudge” from a passive notification to a proactive system alert.
• Context Awareness: Allows the Bevel schedule to “talk” to other iOS features like “Do Not Disturb” or “Work” focus filters based on scheduled training blocks.
• Data Integrity: Better adherence to the schedule leads to more consistent data streams, which in turn improves the accuracy of Bevel’s recovery and strain models.
Data Signal Example:
Currently, my “Post-Run Reset” is planned for 19:30, but without a hard system alarm, the “restart friction” after a workday means the compliance rate for this habit is lower than my 5k run adherence. Native integration would likely close this 15-20% gap in habit consistency.

This is now available in 3.1.0! To connect, tap your initials in the top-right → Customization → Bevel Intelligence → Connect Google Calendar or Connect iCloud Calendar, and Bevel Intelligence will read your events to better understand your schedule. In the future, we will add the ability to write events too.

Add Work Shift from Calendar

Similar to the night shift request, my partner often works late while I work a 9-5. I’d love to be able to have her late shifts saved in my calendar and have that sync to bevel for my sleep/recovery score. I already use a custom journal item to track this manually, but it could be an interesting feature to put behind the Pro paywall.

Future Planning Calendar

It would be great to have a calendar that shows upcoming planned workouts that is adjustable. The AI is great at developing running training plans but it would be nice to have access to a calendar showing that plan and be able to move stuff around and add in different types of workouts with the AI and be able to click into them for more details (like Runna). The AI should be able to auto populate this calendar.

Integrate Apple/google/other calendars with Bevel. This would allow the Ai to track your schedule and understand what you have on later in the day and week.

Would it be possible to add a skill/tool to the AI so that app can sync created plans/tasks in the Apple calendar app?
