Journal Insights - Auto Trackers
planned (tbd)
Tomek Gniewko Bielak
Would be cool to have a few more auto options on insights:
sleep time impact on recovery
consistent bed time impact on recovery
sleep performance effect on recovery
early workout effect on recovery and sleep
late workout effects on recovery and sleep
strain effect on recovery and sleep
Stress effect on recovery and sleep
And maybe if we really wanted to advance it add two tabs energy and stress - where you could check what impacts those

Analytics on how food impacts recovery + sleep
K
Kevin Proudler
Determine if calories ingested, deficit/surplus and their magnitudes, food quality score, and macros impact our quality of recovery and of sleep.
Could also see if those factors in combination with activities during that day, or strain score, have any impact.

Autodetect gluten / gluten free
A
Aleksei Ershov
There is "Gluten free" entry option in journal. It would be nice to have gluten amount in food nutrition facts and set gluten free flag automatically. Like "Low carbs" counts carbs, shows their amount in consumed meals and sets yes/no automatically.

Journal - woken up by alarm
Tim Nederhand
Not sure if data wise possible, but it would be interesting to see the impact on recovery/sleep based on whether someone woke up with or without an alarm (something like ‘wake up time within X minutes of alarm’). Thank you

Automate “Device in bed” tag
Alberto Cerrone
Would be cool (but I don’t know if is feasible) if we could automate the device in bed tag:
I think Apple offers the screen time data and could be good if we can automatically add the tag if the any Apple devices are used before bedtime

Magnesium before bed auto-tag
Dylan
I used to just add the magnesium supplement to the app once I took it before bed (to see how it impacts my sleep), however now that I use the nutrition part of the app, magnesium is logged everyday regardless of if it's a supplement or if I'm taking it before bed - which is the crucial bit. I was considering creating another tag of 'magnesium before bed' but why just over complicates things.
So perhaps, like you have done with 'carbohydrates' and 'late meal' tags, you could perhaps automate it to tick if you've taken it closer to bed time.

Journalling insights with strength as well
Dylan
Many supplements I log have direct impacts on strength (or strength progression) more than recovery or sleep - like creatine or ashwagana etc.
Currently with the insights provided from the journal, you can only see the correlations with Recovery and sleep...
I think it would be extremely useful if one could have three options where it shows your daily logs' (automatic and manuals) impact on Recovery, Sleep, and Strength (or strength progression).

Journal automatic log screen time

Threshold for a set amount of time. If you could correlate actual minutes, that would be even better rather than a binary exceed threshold y/n.

More automatic training-entries in journal

Felix Ludwig
Currently you only see cardio, strength and mindfulness sessions automatically in the journal, but if you regularly do trainings like yoga, these won’t be logged and you can’t see their effect on your body and well-being. You ofc can log them manually, but would be amazing if there are more trainings in the auto-journaling :)

Journal automatic entry to log bedtime/ training / etc. (how the late meal toggle works now, so not fully automatic)

For example: "Asleep before 10pm" or "Workout before 10am"
Cheers!

Thanks Dylan. Seeing impacts on strength progression would be interesting, I'll add this to the roadmap!
