Hi. Find attached. I assume this is what you're referring to? I've been entering 40mg in the caffeine section of journal. That writes to Apple health. But in my nutrition - where I track all my meals to calorie count, I add the coffee there too. I figure that if I add it there, then the journal should automatically update (or vice versa). But it doesn't.

Ruben Mascaró Hi Ruben, when logging foods with Caffeine in it - it will automatically sync to your Journal tab view. Right now, it is only a one-way sync from Nutrition to Journal, not Journal to Nutrition.
Have you actually tried pulling to refresh on your Journal tab view after logging caffeine in your Nutrition tab?

Randell hi. I just tested for the 5th of March. I had entered my daily moccha. That uses a coffee pod, into my nutrition. The journal didn't update. I had a brownie that day in my nutrition and the journal recognised this as me having had caffeine from that browniethat day, but didn't include the coffee pod. I just refreshed per your instructions, and it now recognises the pod. I didn't realise I had to refresh. Will do so going forward and check. Syncing and refreshing is quite slow on my phone. I assume this is because I am on an iPhone 13.

Ruben Mascaró: Hi, thanks for confirming this. We are also adding improvements to it so you won't have to manually refresh the tab for the updated values to reflect.
Thanks for your feedback again - I will close this ticket for now.

Randell I'm not entirely sure it's actually updating the journal. I tested this morning and the journal wouldn't update, even thought I entered my coffee on the timeline. I had to manually enter it in the journal. I tried to attach a screen video, but it wouldn't accept the file as it's over 8mb.

Ruben Mascaró Hi, to investigate on this - can you actually share a screenshot of the coffee log you added on Nutrition tab? Then go to Apple Health -> Caffeine, scroll down to the bottom, tap "Show all data" then screenshot the view for me? I want to verify and confirm if the timestamp matches.

Randell hi. No worries. There's an image from. timeline showing 5 minutes earlier. It didn't appear in journal on pull down after 5 minutes so i manually added it. And that's the one that appears in apple health. Happy to send video elsewhere, as can't upload here.

Ruben Mascaró: Can you actually send a screen recording of this to hello@bevel.health?
Also, please do log a coffee entry again but first - make sure to confirm and enable the following
- Go to Bevel -> Nutrition -> Upper right corner, tap the 3 dot icon -> Nutrition settings -> under "Apple Health" toggle on caffeine intake.
- Go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Journal -> scroll down to "data sources" make sure to set it as "Apple Health + Nutrition" for caffeine.

Randell yep. Will do. Have attached screen grab of caffeine toggle. Was already toggled on. Have also attached screen grabs of today’s entry appearing in timeline but not in journal nor apple health.
Randell
Ruben Mascaró: Can you tap the Nutrition facts for this and screenshot the view for me? I want to check if there is any caffeine content to it.

Randell I think that answers it! Coffee pod is a food to select in timeline. But it doesn’t have caffeine recorded against it.

Hi Ruben Mascaró, Can you please go to Bevel -> Nutrition -> Upper right corner, tap the 3 dot icon -> Nutrition settings -> Scroll down, then screenshot the view for me?
To add here, if you do log caffeine via Bevel's Nutrition tag, it should sync with Journal as well as long as the data is in Apple Health.
