More Progression Tracking in Strength Trainer
planned (soon)

Most weight lifting apps have simple functionality such as keeping track of PRs (personal records. Since Bevel is already tracking the workouts I don't see why this can't be implemented as you already have the data. When clicking on an exercise (e.g., bicep curl) I just see the overall weights lifted for that session. It would be nice if I click on it, that it can also show PR progress.

Easy access to exercise-specific data & progression

There needs to be a simpler and more direct way to view exercise-specific data and progression for each movement.
Right now, when I’m in an active workout (for example, bench press), I can’t tap on the exercise name to see my history or progression for that specific exercise. The only thing I can tap is the image, which just shows how to perform the exercise, not my data.
There is a “progression” button below the exercise (under the sets), but it’s very limited—it only shows what I did in the most recent session (e.g., last week). It doesn’t provide a full exercise-specific breakdown like long-term trends, max weight, estimated one-rep max, volume metrics, or full history.
There is also a separate path under the Fitness tab:
Fitness → Strength Progression → select an exercise (e.g., bench press)
However, this flow is not intuitive for viewing exercise-specific data. After selecting the exercise, it shows a list of historical workouts of mine that included that movement. When I tap one of those workouts, it opens the full workout session instead of a focused view of that specific exercise.
At that point, I’m seeing too much information (the entire workout), when I’m only trying to analyze one movement. Even then, it only shows the sets/weights from that session, without any deeper historical data or aggregated insights for that specific exercise.
This makes it unnecessarily complicated to answer simple questions like:
• How has my strength progressed over time on this exercise?
• What was I lifting a few weeks ago or a month ago?
• How has my performance changed across multiple sessions?
For comparison, apps like HEVY allow you to tap an exercise and immediately see all relevant exercise-specific data in one place, including progression charts, previous performance, personal records, and volume metrics. This makes tracking progress much more intuitive.
In Bevel, this kind of view should be accessible directly from the active workout screen by tapping the exercise name.
Right now, the data exists, but it’s fragmented and buried across multiple steps. A single, unified exercise view focused only on that movement would significantly improve usability and workout flow.

Hi Mat Tremblay I will add this as a feedback request. However, have you tried going to Strength Progression-->Select an Exercise--> tap the shopping icon on the left and filter for Total Volume, 1 Rep Max, etc?

Hey Leah, thanks for the response and for pointing that out.
While that does technically help me find things like total volume or 1RM, it still feels like a much more complicated path than it needs to be.
Before you mentioned it, I had no idea that flow even existed. Having to go through filters, swipe across to find the exercise, and then select what metric to view just feels like a lot of steps for something that should be much more direct.
When I go into Strength Progression and see my list of exercises below the chart, my natural instinct is to tap on something like “Incline Bench Press” expecting to see all the data for that specific exercise.
When I do that, it takes me to a list of workouts that included that movement. From there, I’m only seeing those full workout sessions, not a clear, focused view of that one exercise over time.
That’s where the disconnect is. I’m trying to look at one exercise, but I’m being routed through entire workouts instead.
Ideally, tapping an exercise would take me straight to a page that is only about that movement, showing progression over time, past performance, and key stats in one place, without needing to use filters or navigate through multiple layers.
Even more importantly, the most natural place for this would be directly during a workout. When I’m in an active session and I'm on an exercise like incline bench press, I should be able to tap the name and immediately see all of my historical data & key stats for that movement right there.
I understand the Strength Progression tab can be used as another way to explore data, but realistically, I’m most likely to want that information while I’m actually doing the exercise within my workout routine, and right now, there isn’t a simple way to access it in that moment.
Hope that makes sense.

Improved filter/visualization in Strength Progression tab

I just want to see what was my last PR in a specific exercise for a given count of reps. Currently, if I filter for Front Squat, it only applies to the graph, and not the "exercises" section (attached screenshot). I'll try asking Bevel AI for this information going forward, but since it is a bit slow in crunching numbers, it would be nice to enable the filters on exercises as well.

The workout planning and logging both looks and works good, however what still makes this app hard to compare to an actual training app is the lack of progress. A diagram that shows how you progress for each muscle group would be huge and would definitely make more people consider bevel over just a traditional workout app. With the already implemented strain and recovery data, I think it would be perfect.

Better Progression Information

Would be good to see better progression information
Est 1 Rep max is useful for a target, Don't see the usefulness of total Reps and Total Volume
Would be good if we could just see a history of Weight, Reps & Sets
Something like this would be ace, You put the last week in when editing

Thank you Tayseer Edouni, we will add this to the roadmap. You will see PRs highlighted in Bevel Intelligence, but we can add a way to see them at any time.
