You’re absolutely right, and I see exactly what you’re looking at. In your log, both Active Duration and Total Duration are showing as 2h 55m.
Here is the technical “why”: Bevel pulls your workout data from Apple Health. When Strava syncs a ride to Apple Health, it often exports the total “wall clock” time as the primary duration. Since Bevel reads that single duration field from Apple Health, it can’t “see” the moving time that Strava calculated internally unless Strava specifically writes it to a field Apple Health shares.
Can the creators fix this?
Yes, this is definitely something the developers can address. They are constantly refining how Bevel parses data from third-party apps like Strava. Using “Moving Time” as the primary duration for cycling volume is a common request for precisely this reason.
