Grey Do we have naps in the beta version? Not sure if I missed that. If yes, do we need to make manual entries for nap or it will fetch that automatically ?

Log naps manually entered into Apple health app

For some reason Apple Watch does not auto-log naps so they must be added manually.
Athlytic pulls this data from apple health app automatically but superset does not. Please add this functionality!

Hi Seth, I will merge this ticket with an existing one. Thanks!

Hi Julius C, thanks for the feedback! Tracking nap is definitely on my roadmap.
Are you tracking them with AutoSleep at the moment? Are they being written to Apple Health?

Grey: I have a suggestion regarding a feature. I would prefer if it is based on Apple Health data instead of third-party app data. Autosleep and sleep++ seem to be able to detect when I take a nap based on Apple Health data(they only have read only access), perhaps from the drop in heart rate. It would be ideal if we could primarily use Apple Health data from the Apple Watch to develop this feature. TIA

Pranab Roy i heard autosleep and sleep++ mess up your real sleep data. have you had any issues with this

Nick Jaber Thats true. Those apps only have read permission. No write permission.
Grey
Pranab Roy: That's correct. I don't plan on reading data from 3rd party apps. Superset will read data that's available in Apple Health.
However, Apple built in sleep tracker doesn't work really well for naps, so I might have to build an auto detect napping feature on Superset. That will have an option to write to Apple Health if the user wish to.

Grey that would be amazing if possible!

Grey You may have already taken this into consideration, but during naps we generally don't have deep sleep, so taking the HRV/RHR from that period and adding that for the body battery would be little tricky.
