I LOVE the nutrition update - got me back into calorie counting!
First some positives:
  • the tag scanner works really well, identifies 95% of all scanned products (and I live in a small EU country with country specific brands)
  • UI is pretty
  • widgets are nice addition
Issues:
  • the log food UI can be improved; I got used to it now but it was quite hard to grasp at first (adding multiple items of food like fruits, scanning some tags, and using photo food upload feature - had issue to log all at the same time, at first I "submit" each food separately which was annoying)
  • nutrition score is based on specific food's macro balance - but this makes no sense when eating a full meal (having some high protein, some high carb and some fat specific foods all mixed together in one meal - should have better nutrition score as a meal or am I missing something?
  • no specific information to how a specific nutrition score is chosen for a particular food. For example canned corn has only 47/100 nutrition score but I think that corn as a non processed vegetable to have way higher score
  • images of foods - are both amazing and bad - I love this feature but I wish for some better images for some (for example Mozzarella Bombini - mozzarella balls or oat milk Barista Avena Hafer Drink Spar - image of smoothie)
  • no mac/iPad app now really sucks... since I want to be able to add my foods anywhere on the fly...
Possible improvments:
  • image of recipes is always cooking book, wish they would get generated based on the recipe name
  • suggestions for healthier alternatives (based on nutrition score)
  • total day nutrition score should also be reflected based on calories consumed
  • Apple Watch app and widget support 🙏
  • when adding foods for lunch they get added to the timeline, this gets quite messy when having a lot of different ingredients - I suggest some kind of auto "meal" grouping
  • some kind of fasting widget would also be nice to have
