I bought a Polar Loop because I want Bevel to be my health platform, not Polar Flow. Right now that doesn't work, and the reason is specific: Apple Health.
Polar devices collect overnight HRV, resting heart rate, sleep stages, continuous heart rate, training load — the full picture. But Polar Flow only writes a subset of that to Apple Health. Bevel reads from Apple Health. So Bevel gets a fraction of what Polar actually measures. Recovery scores end up estimated from heart rate alone, which Bevel's own KB calls "less precise."
A direct Polar AccessLink integration would fix this. Bevel reads the raw data from Polar's API instead of waiting for it to pass through Apple Health's limited export.
The data that's currently trapped:
- Overnight HRV
- Continuous heart rate (not just during workouts)
- Sleep stages and interruptions
- Resting vs active energy expenditure
- Nightly Recharge inputs
- Full training sessions with recovery context
With this, Bevel can compute its own recovery, strain, and stress scores from the actual source data instead of the filtered-down HealthKit version.
The business case: WHOOP charges ₹18-30k/year and locks all data inside its own app. Polar sells the hardware once and has no subscription. There are thousands of Polar users who don't want Polar Flow's analytics — they want Polar's sensors paired with a better platform. Bevel could be that platform.
I know Bevel already understands these limitations. This isn't about explaining the problem — it's a nudge to go after it. The AccessLink API is there. The user demand is there. The competitive gap against WHOOP is there.
I bought the hardware on the bet that this integration is coming. And I'm willing to subscribe to Bevel before it ships. That's not a feature request — it's a bet on the team building Bevel to make the right call. This is the missing piece.

Abdul CK this is getting very serious because Polar is one of the only available good brands of screenless wearable available here in India/UAE, and I am not ready pay a dime for the other famous brands. I think even the newest players like VitalStat, Sonar, and a lot of them are already doing it, but I'm not ready to bet my payment on them. Rather, I'm going to pay for Bevel.
Do it please @Bevel.

Polar Loop compatibility and Polar Flow app

Andrea Marino
It would be great to be able to synchronize the data collected by Polar Loop and the polar Flow app within Bevel. Currently, all of us Polar users cannot take full advantage of the performance of Bevel and/or Bevel pro without Apple Watch. I wish I could wear out Bevel Pro only with Polar Loop

Favio Gomez redondo as in, this? https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/health-sync-by-appyhapps/id6480174471
Including HRV?

Rob come hai fatto?

Andrea Marino I haven’t done it. I was asking you whether the “health sync app” you referred to was the one at the link above, and whether you had managed to sync HRV (Heart Rate Variability) that way.
A
Andrea Marino
Rob yes, this is what you indicated in the link. I just set it up. It asks you for a data source and enter Polar Flow and set Apple's health application as a destination

Morning Readiness HRV with HR Strap

I use Elite HRV only for morning readiness, I would like to do it directly in Bevel to not having robust two Apps. Connect a HR strap like Pomar H10, start the reading and have everything in one app.
