Rename “morning sunlight” journal entry
under review
Sophie Dennis
I was about to submit a bug report that Bevel claims I haven’t had any “morning sunlight” when Apple Health clearly shows I got daylight time before 12 noon.
Checking here though I see that “morning sunlight” IS NOT “time in daylight before noon” but actually “time in daylight within 1 hour of waking”.
This makes total sense given the science around positive impact of early morning light exposure on sleep, but the journal label is misleading. Suggest rewording to something clearer such as “Sunlight within 1 hour of waking” or “Sunlight on waking” (given space constraints).
I’d have spent a lot less time silently yelling at the app for being wrong!!
Thanks for making this great app and all your hard work on it

Sophie Dennis, thanks for the feedback. Typically, when people refer to morning sunlight it is the time in daylight immediately after waking up as that is the most beneficial for your circadian rhythm. However, I can see how you are confused. I'll leave this ticket up and if others feel the same way, we can change the name.
