Strength training and running progression
Jussi Honkanen
It would be nice to see in some nice chart how I have progressed in my strength training. For example how my total weights have increased (or decreased) during 1,2,3,6 months.
The same thing ofcourse for running. It would be nice to see if I have progressed based on some metric other than vo2max. This could be for example running time for kilometer or let’s say how fast I run with some fixed heart rate zone (because my running time for kilometer might be high only because I do slow jogs, but if I progress my running heart rate either goes down or speed goes up).
Thank you!

Is there still a plan for automatic exercise detection? As I understood the original plan was that we simply start a workout in bevel and it detects the exercises on its own? Or is development in that direction on ice?
Grey
Runzl123: Yes there is still plan for it. We're looking towards end of this year for Strength Builder V2.

Graph of weight progression for strength workout over time
Randell
"to track strength gains over time for individual exercises, or for a group of exercises assigned to a Superset workout as a whole. For example I have a leg workout created in Superset with 5 leg exercises, so a graph for each of those for a given workout would be really cool."

This would be an awesome feature. Thanks!

Grey this is a bit of my personal opinion here but I feel like you are focusing too much on the app as a workout app and not enough as a general health and fitness app with the new feature requests you are handling. Yes I agree these would be cool features, but there are not unique to Superset (I.e. I could use the current strength trainer and also Hevy and still see there graphs for free). The part that I think is so novel about this app is, it’s giving you more information about the entire rest of your health, and I just don’t want to see Superset take a turn to become just another workout tracker. What are your thoughts?
Grey
Dylan: Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I totally agree. I don't plan to make Superset a workout app.
That said, the only reason I am building Strength Builder is that Apple doesn't integrate strength into Apple Health, and muscles are an important part of overall health.
The next few features will focus on overall health, sleep, and recovery. Once Strength Builder is in a good place, I don't think there'll be much more focus on workout tracking (unless it unlocks a new area for Superset to understand health better).
