Smart Alarm Clock

It would be great to have a smart alarm clock feature in Bevel, where users can set a wake-up window (e.g. between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM). The app would then wake the user up at the most optimal time within that window—ideally when they’re in a lighter stage of sleep.
This feature could help improve overall sleep quality and make waking up feel more natural and less groggy.

Hi Gil Pinchasian, We have 4 types of Alarm in Bevel:
- Sleep Needed Alarm: Wakes you once you've reached your sleep goal for the night.
- Smart Alarm: Uses your watch's motion data to detect when you're in the lightest phase of sleep and wakes you up within a specified window. (I believe this is the type of alarm you are looking for)
- Regular Alarm: Allows you to set an alarm that goes off at an exact time.
- No Alarm: Lets you track how long it takes to fall asleep without setting any alarms.
To activate/setup the Alarm, please do the following
To setup:
- Bevel -> Sleep -> Tap the "Alarm clock" icon at the upper right corner
- Under "Alarm Type" choose your preferred type of Alarm
- Wake-up window: set up your preferred wake-up window time
- Once done, tap "Save to watch" your save preferences will be saved to your Bevel watch app.
To Activate the Alarm:
- Bevel watch app
- Swipe to left
- Tap the "Start"
The other way to activate the alarm is via "shortcuts", assuming that you have already setup your Sleep Alarm please do the following:
- Bevel -> Profile -> Shortcuts -> (If this is your first time, please tap "Add to Shortcuts"
- Once done, activate the alarm by going to "Shortcuts" app on your phone then it will prompt your watch to "Activate your Alarm?" just tap "Confirm". This will activate your Alarm + Sleep Focus mode.
Please note that it is recommended that you start the alarm exactly when it's bedtime so that the app can accurately measure the time it takes to fall asleep.
Here is our release notes for the Sleep Alarm that you might find helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/bevelhealth/comments/1g5zovg/oct_17_2024_new_sleep_alarms_and_redesigned/

Thanks for the response!
I have two follow-up questions:
1. Regarding the alarm haptic options — Progressive, Gentle, Medium, and Intense —
Could you please explain what each one means and recommend which might be best to use?
2. You mentioned that it’s ideal to manually enable Sleep Mode at bedtime in order to track the time it takes to fall asleep.
Currently, Sleep Mode turns on automatically on my phone at 10:00 PM (while sometimes I fall a sleep only on 2-4AM), since I often forget to enable it manually and I want sleep tracking to be consistent.
Do you have any recommendations for automatically tracking sleep, even when I forget to turn something on?
And if I do remember to activate it manually, I’d like to be able to tell the app exactly when I go to bed.
Thanks again for your quick and helpful response!

Gil Pinchasian: 1. This setting determines how strong the watch’s wake-up vibration will be. I personally prefer "Intense," but it really depends on your preference. I suggest trying each option to see what feels best for you.
- You can continue using the native Apple Health/Watch Sleep Schedule without any issues. It works fine alongside Bevel's Sleep Alarm.
For now, you will have to manually activate the alarm every before bedtime.
also, we have a plan to add a feature in the future that will let users set up their own sleep schedule directly within Bevel. Here is the planned ticket for it: https://feedback.bevel.health/feature-requests/p/custom-alarm-schedule-for-sleep-alarms
