Stress Graph & Workouts: Retrospective Editing and Proactive Identification

Hi Bevel team,
First, I want to say, I really like the way Bevel handles stress. It’s the most accurate I’ve found, and I particularly love the way it marks workouts and avoids tracking HRV 15 minutes after a workout.
However, I’ve encountered an issue where I sometimes forget to track a workout, especially walking. Consequently, this leads to a spike in the stress graph, and I am unable to retrospectively edit that section to mark it as a workout (see attached screenshot).
Currently, my workaround is to set the action button to WorkOutDoors and immediately track a walk whenever I leave the house. While functional, this approach is imperfect and can be quite tedious as I sometimes forget to activate it.
I believe the following improvements would greatly enhance the user experience:
- Retrospective Editing:Allow users to manually flag a section of the stress graph as a workout. This would enable users to correct spikes and ensure the day’s stress level is accurately reflected.
- Proactive Identification:Implement a feature that identifies potential missed workouts by detecting spikes in the stress graph. This feature could offer a one-click solution to flag the spike as a workout, ideally using motion data for better accuracy.
I found another feature request related to tagging the stress graph, but my suggestion directly addresses refining the current workout handling process.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further details about this use case.
Thank you for considering my request.
Best,
Flo

steps inflating stress ? (Non activity stress)

Mark walks and steps activity on stress line, so it doesn’t show fake inflation of stress and change non activity stress calculation?
( see photos attached from another app)

Yup, this will be fixed when we improve passive strain detection. I'll close this out for now since that is on another ticket.

Perhaps the app could somehow Utalise the steps option … It happens for me too, if I am active walking or just cooking my stress is higher… But then again it is higher stress than resting so maybe it should be? Exercise/movement is stress far do you go with it? Is cooking exercising etc, brushing teeth throws my stress up too.
