Supplements should count toward total daily nutritional value

Right now, logging a supplement only records it as an entry — vitamins, minerals, omega-3s, and fiber in supplements don’t contribute to the day’s nutrition picture the way food does. I’d like supplements to feed into the full picture of nutritional value: count toward food quality contributors (like the Omega-3s line), show up against micronutrient targets, and be reflected in overall daily nutrition — not just appear as 0-macro entries.

Hi Scott Jessee How are you logging these supplements? If you log them as a food item, either by selecting a supplement from the database, creating a custom food, or sending us the barcode so we can add it to our database, it should appear as an entry.

Leah Thanks for the quick reply. The entry does show up when I log it — that part works. My question is about the nutritional value, not the entry itself.
I take 2 gels of Thorne Super EPA Pro daily (1,300 mg EPA / 320 mg DHA), but when I log it as a custom supplement, I can only enter ~20 kcal and 2 g fat. The actual EPA/DHA doesn’t register anywhere — it doesn’t count toward the Omega-3s contributor in my food quality score, and it won’t show in the full nutrition picture even though it’s a meaningful part of my daily intake.
Is there a way for supplements’ real nutrient content (omega-3s, vitamins, minerals, fiber) to count toward the nutrition totals, rather than just appearing as a logged entry? If not, I’d love to see that as a feature request.
