Target Strain to low
complete

Hello, I am almost every day above the target strain. I do a lot of endurance sports. When I go running for 1.5 hours, I have often already reached 90%. But I would also like to go cycling or running for 2-3 hours. However, my target strain has never been higher than 80%, even with a recovery of 97%. How high would the recovery actually have to be in order for 80-100% strain to be recommended.

Grey: Today I was walking very slowly for almost 2 hours. My heart rate was not high. It can't be that it brings 50% strain. In comparison, the screenshot of Athlytic. It fits there. Heart rate set correctly and identically in both apps. I usually do 10 hours of sports per week. Can you tell me a timeline when strain is useable, because I paid for the app (60€) and that is a basic function.

Michael Hahn: Hi Michael, is this the only exercise for you for the day? Can you share a screenshot of the activity list for that day? I want to see how much Strain was recorded for this walking activity.
While Superset is not supposed to resemble Athlytic 1:1, especially since Athlytic’s score is capped at 10 and Superset is not, Strain does seem a bit high for your activity level. So, let me take a look, and I will fix this ASAP. Sorry about that.
EDIT: can you also share with me your HR zones settings in Superset?

Here is an explanation for why Superset Strain is not capped at 100% and why it's not equivalent to Athlytic 10 https://www.reddit.com/r/supersethealth/comments/195vyid/comment/khq323d/?context=3

Grey: Yes, it was my only activity that day

Michael Hahn: Ok thank you. I found the issue. Will get a fix out immediately

Grey: Hello Grey. I think the main problem is that the break time is included in Superset. But that can't be the only problem. In terms of feeling, the strain score for this activity should be about 15 - 20

Grey: Could you include me in the beta program? I would enjoy testing the new Strain Score.

Hi Michael Hahn, thanks for submitting a bug report. At the moment, Superset will recommend certain ranges for target Strain based on your Recovery score. Even with the highest Recovery score, you won't see the target Strain recommending to hit 100%, as that is not yet implemented.
The model for target Strain is quite basic at the moment. I have plans on incorporating training load, previous strain/exercises, and training status (e.g. sick, building, maintaining, etc.) to recommend a smarter range for target Strain.

Grey: I love the idea for target strain to learn from past workouts vs. recovery, i.e., so that the target matches that kind of activity I'm already doing in regards to a given recovery level.
