Use AirPods Pro 3 for better heart rate measurement

For workouts that are started in the fitness app, the AirPods Pro 3 are also used to better measure the heartbeat in combination with the Apple Watch. This is currently limited to the fitness app only. Perhaps in the future it will also be possible to use this in the Strength Trainer (movement and pulse from the Apple Watch & AirPods Pro 3 to improve the pulse measurement)

This is now available in 3.1.0! You can use AirPods (3rd generation and newer) for heart rate with Strength Builder as long as your iPhone is running iOS 26.

Add AirPods Pro heart rate during strength training

Add support for syncing AirPods Pro 3 heart rate during a strength training session. Sometimes I take off my Apple Watch so it won’t bother me during specific exercises, and then the heart rate is missing.

Is there going to be a way to track heartbeat and calories through AirPods, rather than the watch

For example, running, for training to increase VO2, Bevel himself gives real-time indications of acceleration or deceleration depending on pace and HR zone.

Hi Beatriz Frutuoso are you using AirPods Pro 3?

There could be a way to track heart rate and workouts by using AirPod Pro 3 as they are a better heart rate measurement. Most people keep their AirPods on most of the day or while they're working or working out.

Many times I forget to charge Apple Watch and the workout is cut half way, meanwhile the Heart Rate from my AirPods Pro 3 is still working and measuring. The app should detect both and if the watch does it should the use the AirPods Pro 3 heart rate and not cancel the workout.
Also starting a workout just from the phone it should detect the AirPods and use their heart rate. Today I forgot my watch and I wish it used the AirPods for their Heart Rate.

Workout Heart Rate w/o Apple Watch

Would be great if the iPhone app could connect directly to bluetooth heart rate monitors (e.g. polar h10, AirPods, etc.) so we can start a strength workout on the phone without the watch and still get HR data. When using kettlebells, for example, I can’t wear my Apple Watch.

Native Integration for Powerbeats Pro 2 & AirPods Pro 3

This is a request to implement direct data retrieval from heart rate sensors embedded in audio wearables, specifically focusing on the Powerbeats Pro 2 and AirPods Pro 3.
Currently, users rely on the Apple Watch for live heart rate tracking during workouts. Enabling the app to securely access and display heart rate data directly from these audio devices would remove this hardware dependency.
This functionality would be particularly valuable within the StrengthBuilder. Users would be able to monitor their live heart rate during strength sessions without needing an Apple Watch, similar to the current functionality offered by the native Apple Fitness application.
Proposed Implementation:
Allow Bevel to recognize and connect to supported audio hardware (Powerbeats Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3) as primary heart rate monitors.
Integrate the real-time heart rate directly into the StrengthBuilder when these devices are active.
Value Proposition:
This feature would improve accessibility and user experience for individuals who prefer working out without wrist wearables or don’t own an Apple Watch.

Would love to see this. However Apple has devs set it up, it allows for both devices to combine HR and it will automatically pick the most reliable for that specific workout.
