Hi
Bio tab won't show any data, while Apple Health has everything (weight, vo2, etc). I'm paying premium for two months now but not getting one of the tabs :(
Please help
Randell
Pablo W: Hi Pablo, which specific metrics are not reflecting for you in Bevel? Do you mind sending a screenshot of your Bio tab?
For Vo2 Max, can you please go to Apple Health -> Vo2 Max/Cardio Fitness -> Scroll down to show all data and tap it, screenshot the view for me?
Same with Weight
P
Pablo W
Randell sure! Bio tab shows no metric at all
Randell
Pablo W: Have you tried reinstalling the app and see if this will fix it for you?
Also, can you go to Recovery -> Scroll down to "Trends" screenshot the view for me?
P
Pablo W
Randell haven't tried that. You mean deleting and re-downloading? That won't delete any data right?
Randell
Pablo W: Yes, it won't delete any data as long as your have your iCloud logged in.
I want to see if the reinstall will fix and force the permissions so Bevel and Apple Health will sync in terms of the missing data.
Before you reinstall, can you go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Apps -> Bevel -> Turn Off all -> Turn On all permissions then force close the Bevel app and open it again to see if it will fix it for you.
P
Pablo W
Randell did the reinstall and it did not work :(
What can we do next?
Randell
Pablo W Did you try to reset your permissions by turning them Off and On again? (See my instructions above)
Also, can you go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources, screenshot this view for me
P
Pablo W
Randell Yea I did reset permissions.
Randell
Pablo W: I see, can you please tap on Vo2 Max and send a screenshot?
Also, can you please confirm if you are on the latest OS version of the IOS? 18.2.1
P
Pablo W
Randell Yes I'm on latest OS version 18.2.1
Randell
Pablo W Can you try to manually log data in Apple Health for your Vo2Max (Go to Apple Health -> Vo2 Max -> Add data), then check the Data Sources again in Bevel if it will show Apple Health as a data source for Vo2 Max?
You can delete the data afterward, I just like to see if the Data Sources will read the data you manually logged
P
Pablo W
Randell Yes it shows the data source once I add it manually
Randell
Pablo W: Gotcha, thanks for the screenshot. When you force close the app (Bevel) and open it again, is it still not showing on your Bio
Also, this seems to be a bug on a few users, and the team is currently aware of this issue. I will keep you posted for updates or if there is additional info that we will need on our end. One last thing, can you please confirm what Apple Watch model are you using right now?
P
Pablo W
Randell yes when I force close it still doesn't show.
Apple watch series 10.
Thanks. Please keep my updated, happy to help. Love the app, would love to enjoy this tab as well.
P
Pablo W
Randell any news on this? Any timeline we should have in oir minds for this problem to be fixed? Thanks!
Randell
Pablo W: Hi, I can't give an exact timeline for this yet but rest assured that the team is working on a fix for this.
Also, have you tried restarting your phone to see if this will fix the issue for you? Have we tried that yet? And can you please confirm if you are on the latest IOS version?
P
Pablo W
Randell Yes, already tried restarting phone. I have the latest version for Bevel and iOS.
Also, weird stuff: weight tab shows data from health at the bottom. And VO2 max shows some super weird numbers.
P
Pablo W
Randell Randell Any news? Is this gonna take months or weeks? I paid the full year and would love to know.
Thanks!
Randell
Pablo W: Hi, thanks for following up on this.
I just escalated this to the team. Can you please confirm if you are on the latest version of the app? 2.0.0?
P
Pablo W
Randell yes just updated to 2.0. Same problem still.

Not reading body fat or lean muscle mass
Khiah Getter
For some reason my app is not reading the body fat or lean muscle mass portion. Not entirely sure why. It’s also just not recording my workouts

Body Fat Percentage doesn’t show up

Body fat percentage measured with an InBody and pushed to Apple Health doesn’t show up in biology section

I did the cache refresh & shut / reopened the app.
Randell
Joe d'Elia: I see. Let me merge this ticket for you.
Thanks for submitting this!

Randell
Can’t tell why but it magically appeared lol
Joe d'Elia
However I’m still not seeing the lean body mass, which is not in apple health, but from my understanding can be extrapolated from body fat and weight?
Randell
Joe d'Elia: I see, thanks for the update. For the Lean Body Mass, can you try to go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Apps -> Bevel -> Manually turn off Lean Body Mass -> Go to Bevel app, force close it ->Go back to Permissions and turn on Lean Body Mass again and see if this will fix it for you?
Some users were able to fix this by doing that. If not, I would suggest to wait for our updates on this
Randell
Hi Joe d'Elia Is it just that particular metric that isn't showing on your Bio tab? Can you please share a screenshot of your Bio tab and Body Fat Percentage in Apple Health?
Also, have you tried to clear cache and reload data to see if this will fix it for you? You can go to Bevel -> Profile -> Scroll down to the bottom.
We are actively working on a fix in regards to metrics in Bio tab not showing to some users. I can merge this ticket for you but I want to confirm the things I asked above first.
Randell
Hi Khiah Getter, I'd like to follow up on this, are you still experiencing the issue with the workouts?
Randell
Hi Khiah Getter, We are aware of this bug for the Body Fat and Lean muscle mass not getting imported to Bevel bio tab as we have a ticket for it.
Can you try the following steps for me and see if this will fix it for you?
Body Fat and Lean Muscle Mass
- Go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Bevel -> Manually turn off both Body Fat and Lean Muscle Mass.
- Go to Bevel -> Force close the app
- Go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Bevel -> Manually Turn On both Boy Fat and Lean Muscle Mass again. See if this will get imported to Bevel
Also, how do you track both metrics? Are you using any device or app for it?
For your Workout, can you please provide more info which workout is not being recorded, if possible, could you please provide some screenshots?

Lean body mass and body fat data missing

Mathew
Lean body mass and body fat data are not being imported from Apple Health even though the Weight integration works fine.
Randell
Hi Mathew, Can you please confirm again where it is not importing to? Is it on Apple Health or the data is in Apple Health already but Bevel isn't showing it to you on Bevel's bio tab view?
M
Mathew
Hi Randell, thanks for the quick response. Exactly as you said. Attaching screenshots to confirm the behaviour
Randell
Mathew: Got it. This is an issue we're currently investigating. I'll go ahead and merge this ticket with an existing one. Thank you for reporting it!
