Garmin Connect and Apple Health workouts no longer syncing

Hello when I first installed the app all my workouts did sync to the Bevel app which then would show my training load and cardio metrics, but for some reason all those workouts have disappeared and I am unable to import those workouts again. Are you able to look into my app and see where I am going wrong please?

Hi Robert Guglielmi, Can you please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Source -> Workouts, screenshot the view for me?
Also, go to Apple Health -> Workouts -> Scroll down to the bottom, tap “show all data” then screenshot the view for me so we can verify if your workouts are there
Just to clarify, you aren't seeing the workout data in Bevel, correct?

Hi, correct, no workout data.
Randell
Robert Guglielmi: Have you tried clearing cache and reload data in Bevel? (Bevel -> Profile -> Scroll down to the bottom). It seems like Bevel is reading the recent data from Apple Health based from your screenshot
Also, I see that you have 2 other sources you've hidden, did you hide them on purpose?

Hi, yep I did try the reload cache numerous times and I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well. I’ve sent you the hidden sources. I can activate the Apple Watch again but the whoop I no longer use. I am currently on occasions wearing both Apple Watch and Garmin Fenix 8 as I’m thinking of changing totally to the Apple Watch ecosystem
Randell
Robert Guglielmi I see, you can keep the Data Sources in Bevel as is. Next, can we verify the permissions in Apple Health? Please go to Apple Health -> Sharing -> Apps -> Bevel -> Try to retrigger it by turning OFF all and ON again. If this won’t work, try to manually turn OFF and ON again the “Workout” and “Workout Effort Score”.
Also, if you to Bevel -> Fitness -> Activity Summary -> Activity History, is it all blank or no data at all?
R
Robert Guglielmi
Hi, all the activity history and summary is all there. I have just re triggered the shared apps but just checked and appears it still hasn’t downloaded
Randell
Robert Guglielmi Hi, can you please clarify? You confirmed that the Activity History is already? correct? What do you mean by “it still hasn't downloaded”?
My apologies for the back-and-forth, I just want to make sure that we are on the same page here. Thank you!

Robert Guglielmi
Randell Sorry can understand why that didn’t make any sense…lol. The activity history is all there.
What I meant to say was I re triggered the shared apps but the problem still exists

Robert Guglielmi
So the cardio load and cardio focus still does not display any metrics. Are you able to get into my app to see for yourself what is happening?

Just thought I’d send more screenshots of the issues I’m having
Randell
Robert Guglielmi: I see, so it is just the Cardio Load that is missing. can you please go to the following and share a screenshot for me?
- Apple Health -> Cardio Fitness -> Scroll down to "Show all data", tap it and screenshot the view for me
- Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation, screenshot the view for me.
- Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources -> RHR, screenshot the view for me.
My apologies for asking too many screenshots but I have to verify these first to make sure that we aren't leaving something out that could potentially fix the issue.

Hi, just thought I’d send you screenshot showing today’s workout was uploaded into the app but the original problem still exists. I’m hoping to get this sorted before my free trial ends as I really want to continue with this app. Thanks
Randell
Robert Hi, Thank you! Do you mind sending a similar screenshot that I just attached?

Robert Guglielmi: Hi Robert, my apologies for the late response.
Since you're using Bevel’s RHR method and currently have only two days’ worth of RHR data, that explains why your Cardio Load appears this way. Please note that Bevel uses your RHR data, when available, to calculate your Cardio Load..
As an alternative, we can try switching to the Apple Health RHR method in Bevel and see if that helps.
But first, can you please go to Apple Health -> Resting Heart Rate -> scroll down and tap “Show All Data,” then send me a screenshot? I’d like to verify that the data is there before we switch your setup in Bevel.

Robert Guglielmi: Got it, can you try going to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation -> change RHR Method from "Bevel" to Apple Health and use RHR from "Entire Sleep" to "Entire Day". See if this will work and fix your Cardio Load graph.

Randell Hi, I decided to uninstall the app and re install and then re did all the permissions and it now seems to be working as it should.
Thanks
Randell
Robert Guglielmi: Thank you for confirming this Robert! Glad it is now fixed. I will close the ticket now
