health monitor section shows no data

Whilst a lot of metrics are working, the health monitor section shows no data for basic things like RR HRV and Temp. Is this because I just started using the app yesterday? Wouldn't make sense to me since this data is all historically available and a lot of other metrics are working. (this is even after clearing cache and checking apple health permissions).

Hi Marschant Probart, Can you please confirm if your Apple Watch logged your overnight vitals, such as RR, RHR, and HRV, in Apple Health? Also, did you wear your Apple Watch while sleeping last night? Looking at it it seems like your Sleep data hasn't been logged for the day.
Additionally, please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation and send me a screenshot of that view.

Hey Randell, thanks for the quick response. No I don't sleep with my watch. Is this section specifically for sleep usage data? I see now that under the calc section it shows data from "Entire Sleep". Does that mean I should change those data points to "Entire Day" rather?
Randell
Marschant Probart: Hi, yes! that’s correct. Bevel defaults to “Entire Sleep” so it can calculate your metrics as soon as you wake up.
Are you currently not wearing your Apple Watch to sleep? Even if you switch to “Entire Day” today, Bevel still won’t be able to provide your Sleep and Recovery scores if sleep wasn’t tracked.
Would you like to share what your current set up is for tracking? Do you track your Sleep with Apple Watch? Is wearing the watch while sleeping not an option to you? I might be able to help you out how to setup Bevel with the info above.
Marschant Probart
I see. That is cool. However, I'm kind of avoidant of sleeping with the watch for EMF / physical discomfort reasons. What would you recommend?
Randell
Marschant Probart: I see, first- we need to find a solution on how to track your sleep. Since you are not intending to use your Apple Watch to track your sleep, how do you track it so far? Can you please go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to "show all data", tap it and screenshot the view for me?
Marschant Probart
I don't track it all tbh. Just pretty much sleep 23:00 - 07:00 most nights though. As you can see i've done it a handful of times with the watch but stopped/
Randell
Marschant Probart: I see, since you refuse to wear your watch to before sleeping then there's no other "accurate" way of tracking it.
Have you tried manually adding your Sleep data via Apple Health? Let's try this then change your calculation setup in Bevel to:
Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation:
HRV Method: Apple Health
Use HRV From: Entire Day
RHR Method: Apple Health
Use HRV From: Entire Day
Please note that with this current setup, you won't be able to get your metric values right away. You will have to wait for the watch to log it anytime of the day and Bevel will pull it in.
Also, I suggest you find another 3rd party app that tracks sleep without wearing the watch and writes the data to Apple Health.
Marschant Probart
Randell thanks so much for your insight and responsiveness. I will try the above out and see how it works for me. Thanks!
Randell
Marschant Probart: Hi Marschant, is this all good now?
