Inconsistent Strain guidance
under review

Today, Bevel says I had excellent recovery and sleep. As a result, it’s giving me a strain guidance of 25%-60%.
However, a few days ago, I had poor sleep quality and not as good recovery, yet its target strain was 46%-73%
Is this because I’ve only been using the app for about 2-3 weeks or is this a bug?

Hi Ed I, When you first start using the app, Bevel looks into your historical data, but to accurately calculate your Target Strain, it needs around two weeks of recently logged data to Bevel- It considers your Recovery Scores and activity levels during that time. Based on how well you’ve been recovering, Bevel will suggest a higher or lower Target Strain compared to your baseline activity.
For the coaching, we are already working on to improve this, so stay tuned, it will be out soon! :)

Randell thanks. Bevel already has over 2 weeks of logged data. Today, it said I have excellent recovery and sleep, yet my target strain is 22% to 56%, which is lower than when I had worse sleep and recovery. Im excited about the training coach updates, but I’m still trying to make sense of the target strain range as it relates to sleep and recovery.

Ed I: Hi, do you mind sharing the calendar view for your Recovery and Strain for me so we can check? Just tap the date above, I want to check your previous 14 days data for Recovery and Strain recorded in Bevel

Randell thanks for looking into it. Really appreciate it. Are these the screens you’re referring to?
