Widgets don’t show the current recovery as given in the app

Both on the iPhone and the Apple Watch the widgets don’t show the correct values for recovery as displayed by the app. Taping on the recovery icon of the widgets the app obviously opens and the correct value is shown. However, going back to the widgets still the incorrect values from hours before are displayed.

Widget Display of recovery values still not correct

Somehow the synchronization between the widget and app values for recovery is still not working. Recovery values of the watch and phone widgets are totally different from the app values, despite refreshing the sync. Removing and reinstalling the watch app seems to solve the problem (temporarily) on the watch but removing the widget on the phone has no effect. Maybe reinstalling the app on the phone would do, but I can’t reinstall the apps once a day - neither on the watch nor on the phone. By the way: reinstalling the app on the phone lead to the loss of all my workout plans so I had to make them all new yesterday 😞

Hi Géza Pap, I'd like to follow up on this. Are you still experiencing this issue?
G
Géza Pap
Randell, yes, for instance yesterday…… Despite it showed successful sync some minutes before….
Randell
Géza Pap: Gotcha. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of iOS Widgets and watch OS, where data sync can take 15 to 30 minutes to refresh.
Once synced, the values stay correct throughout the day between the Widget and the app, let me know if it doesn't.

Could you send a screenshot of what your Baseline and iCloud view looks like? I attached 2 screenshots for reference.

Géza Pap: Got it. This should have fixed the issue with the metric value sync. How long do you think the values of both Watch complications and Phone Widget are inaccurate or not syncing?
Also, one more screenshot. Can you go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculations. Screenshot this view for me?

Randell as for the mismatch of the values I have no idea, I don’t compare them so often, having detected this it lasted for a relatively long period, min half an hour…. attached the screenshot

p.s.: switching the phone off and then on again solved the problem on the phone. Maybe it would also do on the watch, but I think, there should be a better solution for both devices….

Hi Géza Pap, let me address the workout plans first.
Your workout plans should still be there. What you can do here is
- Open the Bevel Watch App side by side with the Bevel Phone app
- Open the Phone Bevel -> Activities -> Workout Plans -> Tap the "..." at the right side that aligns with "Strength Training" -> You will see "Sync to Watch" option -> then you can press the "Tap to Sync" button and your previous Workouts Plans should appear on your Watch.
Your workouts haven't appeared yet on your Bevel Watch app because your Watch isn't synced to your Phone.

Randell, the workout plan was on my phone, this works. What I meant is: when I remove the app from my phone it is also removed on the watch and when I reinstall the app on the phone (to fix the problem with the widget) the workout plan is gone - both on the phone and the watch. I think, there is no cloud synchronization of the workout plan, is there?
Randell
Géza Pap: Workout Plans are saved on your iCloud. You can check on your Bevel phone app iCloud to see if it's fully synced yet after the reinstall. Go to Bevel -> Profile -> iCloud.
There are cases where iCloud syncing is slow and could take some time to sync over but the workout plan should still be there even when you reinstall the app.
Reinstalling the app or turning the phone Off and On just to fix the metrics issue sync is not something we want you to experience.
I will leave this ticket open for now and see if this issue persists on your end. Next time, can you please check if both Phone and Watch's Bevel iCloud are synced.

Hi Géza Pap, Let me try and help you with this.
Can you go to the Bevel Watch app -> Tap the Gear Icon -> Baseline. See if it's currently synced to the latest?
Same thing with your iCloud.
You can check on your Phone as well by going to Bevel -> Profile -> iCloud.
If you see that it isn't currently synced. Can you please open both your Phone and Watch Bevel app side by side and wait for it to sync?
G
Géza Pap
Randell, thanks for your quick reply. Yes, in baseline it shows last sync 2 min ago, nonetheless it still shows the wrong value in the widget for recovery, on both devices. Interestingly, this does not apply for the strain and stress or sleep values, they sync correctly and are always similar both in the app and the widgets.
Randell
Géza Pap: I see. Do you mind sending a screenshot of what you see on your Watch app and Bevel app?
Also, have you tried restarting your watch to see if it fixes it?
G
Géza Pap
Randell, short additional note: I removed the app from my watch and re-installed it, now the widget seems to sync on the watch, on my phone it still doesn’t.
Randell
Géza Pap: Thanks for letting me know.
Just to be clear, your Bevel Watch app and Bevel's Watch Complications are now synced?
But your Bevel Phone and Widget aren't yet? Can you try reinstalling the app on your phone too and restart it if possible? Also try re-adding the Widget as well.
G
Géza Pap
Randell, yes, exactly. I will also reinstall the app on my phone an see what happens…😃👍🏻.
Randell
Géza Pap: Hi, I'd like to ask for some updates on this. Is this all fixed now?
G
Géza Pap
Randell, thanks , yes it seems to be fixed 😃👍🏻
Randell
Géza Pap: Thanks! I'll close this ticket now
