Hi Mike Gerber, Let me help you with this. Can you please share a screenshot of the following for me?
- Bevel home view, screenshot the view for me.
- Apple Health -> Sleep -> Scroll down to the bottom tap "Show all data" then screenshot the view for me.

Mike Gerber: Looking at your screenshot, it seems like you are missing the data for AUG 20 - 21 which is today.
Can you try checking on your Apple Watch -> Sleep, see if there's any data in there for today?
Mike Gerber
Randell there isn’t any and I wore it to sleep last night and every other night. Aside from last night, the app has been consistently giving no viewable on the home page, it’s been like that since last week.
Randell
Mike Gerber: Alright, since your watch didn’t record any Sleep data today, it’s expected that Bevel can’t calculate your Sleep and Recovery score.
For the past days, could you please share a screenshot of your Bevel Home view and the Health Monitor? To check your stats for yesterday, tap the date at the top of the Home view, select yesterday, then send me screenshots of both the Bevel Home view and Health Monitor so I can see which data is missing.
Once we determine what might be causing this and resolve it, let's go back to the present date and make sure you have the correct setup for tomorrow.
Mike Gerber
Randell I don’t see three dots on the home page and health monitor?
Randell
Mike Gerber: To change the date, see my screenshot, tap it. I also attached what the Health Monitor looks like.
Note: You might have more metrics in it for the Health Monitor (SpO2 and Temperature), I edited mine to show those 4 only.

Mike Gerber: Alright, can we please try again tonight and make sure you have the following set correctly?
- Apple Health Sleep Schedule for automatic Sleep tracking, you can follow this link on how to set it up: https://support.apple.com/en-us/108906
An alternative for it is to just turn On the Sleep focus on your Apple Watch when you are about to sleep. This works but sometimes it doesn't record sleep.
- Make sure you NEVER turn ON low-power mode. Turning ON low-power mode will prevent the Apple Watch from tracking your overnight vitals such as HR, RHR, HRV etc. Please avoid doing so.
Keep in mind as well the battery % of your Apple Watch to prevent it from automatically going to Low-power mode.
- Wear your Apple watch to sleep, and wear it comfortably tight.
- Optional: Turn ON AFib History. This will prompt the watch from taking more HR samples.
Mike Gerber
Randell this is what I am referring to about not populating on the app. It’s all tracked
Randell
Mike Gerber: Can you please clarify? We checked your Apple Health sleep data earlier, and it’s missing the sleep data for AUG 20-21, which is why the app couldn’t calculate your Sleep and Recovery scores. See this screenshot of yours showing the latest data is Aug 19-20.
When you say “It’s all tracked,” do you mean the data is showing in Apple Health but not syncing into Bevel? Can you please share a screenshot of a specific metric that is not populating in Bevel but has the data in Apple Health?
Please note that in order for Bevel to calculate your Sleep score, you must have the data in Apple health.
For the Recovery score, you must have Sleep and overnight vitals tracked such as HRV, RHR, etc. This is why I asked for a screenshot of your Health Monitor earlier for specific days so I can check which is missing.
Mike Gerber
Randell this is ridiculous. Now I get sleep but nothing else. I will be ending my subscription to this app.
Randell
Mike Gerber Hi Mike, totally understand your frustration over this. Looking at your screenshot it seems like you are missing your overnight vitals again. Were you able to make sure that your watch wasn’t on low-power mode during your sleep?
If you are up to it, we can verify your overnight vitals data in Apple Health.
Mike Gerber
Randell fully charged, if the watch gets any tighter I’ll cut off circulation.

Mike Gerber: I see, alright. Can you please go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation, screenshot the view of this one first for me so we'll know where to check in Apple Health to verify your data.
Mike Gerber

Randell
Mike Gerber: Hm, do you intend to use Apple Health as your calculation method and not Bevel's? If that is your preferred calculation setup you must change the calculation setup to (see below) for it to work:
Use HRV From: Entire Day
Use RHR From: Entire Day
Keep the Apple Health as is.
See my screenshot for reference.
Mike Gerber
Randelli changed it to Bevel and see what happens
Randell
Mike Gerber: Here is a screenshot of what the default calculation setup for Bevel looks like.
Please let me know once you've change it, see which data is missing so we can verify it on Apple Health
Mike Gerber
Randell got it
Randell
Mike Gerber Are you able to send a screenshot of your Health Monitor now? Can you please let me know which metric are you still missing?
Mike Gerber

Randell
Mike Gerber Okay, can you please go to the following and send a screenshot of the view for me. I’d like to verify the data in Apple Health
- Apple Health app -> Browse -> Heart Rate Variability -> Scroll down to the bottom, tap “Show all data” -> Tap on today’s log -> Screenshot a good chunk of your HRV raw data for me that FALLS WITHIN your sleep period.
- Apple Health app -> Browse -> Heart Rate -> Scroll down to the bottom, tap “Show all data” -> Tap on today’s log -> Screenshot a good chunk of your Heart Rate raw data for me that FALLS WITHIN your sleep period.
Please note that the data you screenshot must fall within your sleep period. See the timestamp.
Randell
Mike Gerber Here is a reference screenshot of what it should look like.
Please don’t mind the date on my screenshot here. Yours should be for today’s log (August 22)
Mike Gerber

Mike Gerber: Please tap on both of these to access your raw data, similar with the reference screenshot I sent above.

Randell
Mike Gerber: Can you please share the same view I sent earlier? I’d like to check how many data points your Apple Watch logged during your sleep.
Also, let me know what time your sleep started and ended.
Again, I am attaching my own screenshot for reference.

Mike Gerber: Hey Mike, thanks for your patience on this. If you see my previous screenshot, it is slightly different than what you have provided.
You’ll notice my previous screenshot shows a timestamp for a specific date. You can get the same view by tapping once on that section (see attached), then scrolling down to see the raw data points. Please screenshot the data that falls within your sleep period and share it with me. Are you able to do that?
Mike Gerber

Randell
Mike Gerber Hm, your Apple Watch is not logging/tracking your HRV and HR data during sleep.
The only possible reason for this is either your Apple Watch sensor is faulty or your low-power mode is turned ON automatically during your sleep.
Have you tried reaching out to Apple support in regards to this issue?
For now, as an alternative, you can use the Apple Health + “Entire day” setup in Bevel calculation and that should work.
Randell
Mike Gerber: Hi Mike, I'd like to follow up on this please. Is this now working for you?
Mike Gerber
Randell hello, still nothing. I am going to end my subscription today. Thanks for your time and help.
